Tyler and Tosha
It was Tyler Stanger’s (Tosha’s husband) first day in our ESL class at Canyon Elementary. I will be able to have the good fortune of working closely with him.
He will be working with our 3rd and 5th Grade groups. This is a real blessing for us because these grades are our largest groups and also our most challenging as far as needs and behavior. Having smaller groups gives us the opportunity to focus more attention on their academics.
Tyler did a great job today. The students like him and he seems to relate to them in a personable and friendly manner. His first lesson consisted of proof-reading sentences, checking punctuation, and capitalization.
Students also finished the stories they started yesterday and read the completed stories to others in their groups.
The children in my group also really got into writing their stories and many even wanted to write another one. Working with children and teaching is the best.
